9ème Congrès Mondial de Metropolis, Sydney 2008

Le 9ème Congrès mondial de Metropolis célébré à Sydney du 22 au 25 octobre 2008 a été un grand succès:
• 600 délégués incrits
• 800 assistants à la cérémonie d'ouverture
• 800 assistants au Public Talk organisé par la Ville de Sydney
• 500 étudiants impliqués
• 400 délégués dans les événements parallèles
• 350 participants au forum ouvert "Agora"
• 5 livres d'investigation dédiés à Metropolis
• 10 000 exemplaires de livres d'investigation distribués
• 25 membres du congrès et 12 partenaires industriels
• 80 villes représentées
Dans l'ensemble, le congrès accueillit 58 séances et réunit 150 orateurs. De plus, des évènements sociaux se célébrèrent dans des lieux aussi extraordinaires telle que la Sydney Opera House ou la Overseas Passenger Terminal. Les conférences de presse et la couverture médiatique incluent la première page du Sydney Morning Herald, des articles dans les principaux journaux métropolitains
