9º Congreso de Metropolis, Sidney 2008

El 9º Congreso Mundial de Metropolis celebrado en Sídney del 22 al 25 de octubre de 2008 ha sido un gran éxito:
• 600 delegados inscritos
• 800 asistentes en la ceremonia de apertura
• 800 asistentes en el Public Talk organizado por la Ciudad de Sídney
• 500 estudiantes involucrados
• 400 delegados en los eventos paralelos
• 350 participantes en el foro abierto "Ágora"
• 5 libros de investigación dedicados a Metropolis
• 10.000 ejemplares de los libros de investigación distribuidos
• 25 socios del congreso y 12 socios industriales
• 80 ciudades representadas
En conjunto, el congreso acogió 58 sesiones y reunió a 150 oradores. Además, se celebraron eventos sociales en lugares tan extraordinarios como la Sydney Opera House or la Overseas Passenger Terminal. Las conferencias de prensa y la cobertura mediática incluye la primera página del Sydney Morning Herald, artículos en los principales periódicos metropolitanos de Sídney, televisión local y cobertura radiofónica, incluyendo Channel 7, ABC TV, SBS, entrevistas radiofónicas en diversos idiomas.
