Action Plan
The 2009-2011 action plan was approved by the Board of Directors and the General Assembly in Sydney 2008 The plan stands as a continuation of the third plan 2005-2008, outlining Metropolis´s strategy, objectives and actions for the next three years.
Metropolis is established as the leading world network of large cities, representing the interests of metropolises at international forums.
Metropolis has four main objectives:
- To provide a network for exchanges and cooperation between members and collaboraters
- To represent the interests of the large cities and regions at the world level
- To increase our partnership with other institutions
- To become established as a world decentralised organization
